Nine weeks flat after five months of steady loss, same dose, same routine, and I cannot tell whether to wait or change something.
What would genuinely help is knowing how to distinguish a genuine plateau from measurement noise and creeping intake, before changing anything.
If the honest answer is that nobody knows, that is a useful answer and I would rather have it.

Plateau breaking story with a stall: I stalled at 204 lbs for 8 weeks. Tried everything — calorie cycling, increased exercise, more water. Nothing worked.
What finally broke the plateau: adding HIIT cardio 2x/week. Lost 6 lbs in the next 3 weeks. Plateaus are temporary — they always break if you stay consistent.

Agreeing with Dr.CardioMD, and the qualification matters more than the agreement. Genuine plateaus happen too, and the mechanism is metabolic adaptation plus a smaller body. A body 20kg lighter needs meaningfully fewer calories at rest and less to move, so the deficit that produced the first phase is arithmetically smaller now. The options are the honest ones — increase the deficit slightly, increase activity, or accept the new plateau — and escalating the dose is only one of them.
Ask again with the specifics and you will get a better answer than this one.

This is my experience too, for whatever a second data point is worth.
From the other side of the consultation, briefly. Most of what circulates confidently in this community traces back to one summary of one study, and the qualifier was dropped somewhere in the third retelling.
That is the short version; the long version is somebody else's post.
Amazing transformation! Starting at 287 lbs, I'm now at 162 lbs after 18 months on semaglutide 2.4mg/wk. These photos show my progress at months 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18. The body recomposition has been incredible — DEXA shows 23% body fat, down from 42%...
